I am Charlie Billups, not a professional photographer by choice but thru the years a consummate amateur with plenty of freelance experience. I was a U.S. Navy photographer stationed on-board a Nuclear submarine. My gift of photography came early and my stepfather recognized it, being a photographer himself he gave me for my 15th birthday a Yashica Mat. Many outings with him thought the value of photographing life as it is. After I left the Navy my talent  was dormant for many years and after ups and downs in life I decided that I need to release my creative outlet once again. I met my wife in 2006 and our relationship blossomed with common love for photography. I spent many days in Colombia photographing a country that I have accepted as my own and have been blessed to photograph the incredible warmth of its people.  Enjoy this blog!
